M&M’s has made one of this years most entertaining stunts with their Space Heroes campaign. All you have to do is go to the campaign site and follow the instructions. By bookmarking it you will be able to summon a spaceship on any, and we do mean any, website and shoot it to pieces! The inspiration is from the 1979 arcade game “Asteroids” – and trust us, there are many possibilities; e.g. if you don’t like a banner you can just shoot it. Countless fun!
We have previously written about the possibilities with projectors and the art of projection mapping. The first time we wrote about the sensory box, a piece of “furniture” that is quite the party feature. In October we wrote about the celebration of the 600-year-old Prague Orloj where Mercula (a team of visual artists) had done a stunning animation that was projected on to the tower.
Today we give you a way to redecorate and change the style of your living room within seconds. The Dutch team called Mr. Beam is behind this project where a white living room is filled with life – and everything is done with only 2 projectors.
Perhaps IKEA should think about using this technology in their show rooms? It would certainly save a lot of space and it would be easy – and very practical – for the costumer to consider the various combination possibilities. Projection mapping could be the future.
Heineken has reached 1 million fans on their Facebook fan page and therefore the brewery wanted to give something back something special to their loyal fans – a great hug! Heineken sent their best friends out in bars to give one “like” back – and we think that a few green bottles were served as well. Please note the great logo on the t-shirt – a nice little detail.
Many brands form a friendly, warm relationship with the consumer by creating and hosting events such as these. Such an event can perform even when it goes viral – perhaps you are a bit jealous because you weren’t at the bar, but the positive reactions and smiles will give you a good feeling. This is exactly what this movie does for you.
The Austrian artist/student Clemento finds beauty in every second of the minute and shows us how the chemistry binds everything together. Clemento has created a visually stunning series called Macro Kingdom and this is the 3rd film. The two previous films have featured butterfly cocoons and drops of water moving through space, and the 3rd film gives us a closer look at the creation of icicles and crystals – imaginary use of time lapse!
So the next time you are doing something as simple as making yourself a cup of coffee think about the small chemical reactions that are happening right in front of you – inspiring!
