Virtual Christmas
Wieden+Kennedy Amsterdam arranged a somewhat different Christmas dinner for 156 people from 6 different countries. By using Skype family members and strangers could wish each other a merry Christmas. A special face tracking feature enabled the guests to move their heads and their “body”.
We do recommend that you start building your own virtual Christmas table – it might come in handy when most of Europe’s airports are closed due to snow. Will the Christmas of 2010 be the first held in cyberspace?
Simon’s Cat: Santa Claws
Some time ago we wrote about Simon Tofield and his YouTube series “Simon’s Cat”. This episode can be regarded as a Christmas Special, and perhaps Tofield has been inspired by the Disney classic “Pluto’s Christmas Tree” from 1952?
Once again we want to express our excitement when seeing the very life-like movements of the cat. Yes, the Christmas spirit is slowly settling in.
